If you would have asked Robert (Rob) Taylor 20 years ago what’s your dream job; being the co-owner of an event planning company would have been the last thing on his mind. His love for event planning grew through his years in the hotel business. With over 20 years working in banquet production and food purchasing departments in a 4 star hotel chain; gave him the insight on event production. Rob Taylor love working in the hotel business and using his knowledge with floor plans, room flips and design; as well as food quality helped in making Taylor Made Event Planning the company it is today.

Marrying his wife, Tamnika Taylor, who has great organization skill, budget management, a passion for design, a love for people and strategic planning was the perfect combination to create a wedding and event planning company.

In short, Rob has years of experience in hospitality management, catering, operations improvement, guest relations, and product improvement. He love all thing music related and scary movies.

Tamnika (Tammy) Taylor is no stranger to the event planning industry. As a girl she helped her grandmother and aunts plan and prepare holiday dinners, birthday parties, and anniversaries. During her teen years her planning wings grew strong, as she became more involved in informal freelance planning; with community conferences, school activities and church events. Eventually, Tamnika’s passion and ability to plan carried over into her work place as she began to plan company conferences, workshops and holiday parties. In addition, Tamnika has served as a coordinator for wedding and special events at her church. This is where her passion turned to promise and sparked her motivation to kick start her business.
 
It was not until 2009 that Tamnika took her business mainstream; Taylor Made Event Planning became licensed in the state of Maryland.
